Jill Kanter, Principal


Jill Kanter is a management consultant, speaker and writer with expertise in leadership development, team effectiveness and organizational change. She brings a strong practical approach and highly developed intuition to projects incorporating executive and management coaching, team development, workplace improvement and the management of organizational change.

Ms. Kanter founded her independent practice in 1990, after earning her Ed.M. from Harvard University, where she specialized in organizational development and corporate education. She earned her B.A. in Education from the University of Massachusetts where she focused on counseling and career development. Ms. Kanter’s business accomplishments include co-founding the 10-year successful partnership of Keegan and Kanter Associates, the firm from which Jill Kanter Associates evolved.

Last Year, Ms. Kanter joined the faculty of Suffolk University’s Corporate Education Department where she teaches Management Development curriculum. She is an active member of the OD Learning Group, and a past steering committee member of the Greater Boston OD Network.

Recent highlights include serving as Keynote Speaker for the Treasury Management Association of New England’s Annual Meeting, and presenting a Career Empowerment Series for the Financial Women’s Association. This year also marked the launch of Ms. Kanter’s new business advice column, “Ask Jill,” published in each issue of WomenandBiz.com, an e-Magazine for entrepreneurial women.

In 2005, Ms. Kanter was awarded a grant to design and facilitate a women’s empowerment group for working women in the early stages of their careers. She partnered with the YWCA Boston on this exciting initiative which increased participants’ self-esteem, self-confidence and career potential in the workplace.
